In December of 1989, my friend and I decided that we wanted to start seeing the world. We spent New Year's of 1990 in Nepal, and in the summer of that year we went to Greece and Turkey. In the years to follow we travelled through Egypt, Syria, Jordan, India, Morocco and finally Israel (with trips to France, Italy and Spain in between). We met many people and experienced unforgetable sights, smells and tastes. It all started working its way into my music until I had a collection of nine pieces which I entitled Armchair Magician.
